Suicide rates have been on the rise in Missouri over the past decade, with the state's suicide rate increasing by over 36% from 2008 to 2018. This is a concerning trend that underscores the urgent need for suicide prevention efforts in our state.
Suicide can have a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities, and it's a complex issue that requires a multifaceted approach. By increasing awareness about the warning signs of suicide and providing resources and support to those who may be struggling, we can help prevent suicide and create a safer and more supportive environment for all members of our community.

This organization was started by people in our own community that have been affected by suicide loss. Amber & Laura co-chaired suicide awareness & fundraising events in the area with a national organization for many years. They were frustrated that they weren’t seeing the results from their hard work on a local level. Therefore, with the help of a couple more passionate souls, they decided to create their own non-profit organization that benefits the local community only.

Our board chose two local organizations to donate a portion of our funds to in 2022. $5,000 was donated to the Community Counseling Center to help cover the cost of counseling services for clients that qualify for a Hardship Services Fund.
The other organization we chose is the Southeast Behavioral Hospital. We used a portion of funds to purchase items from their “wish list” for the adolescent inpatient services department. Items included long-sleeved shirts, journals, arts/crafts materials, sports balls, & board games.
